There should be a record of paper ballots with electronic voting. There should be a 220 percent match of public financing to private money. There should be spending caps for candidates. There should be double funding for candidates who face independent expenditure committees. Ideally, there should be 100 percent public financing of campaigns.
We need to pass a Constitutional amendment that corporations are not human beings and corporate election spending is not free speech. Election day should be a federal holiday. We need same day voter registration. Ranked choice voting should be used in federal elections.
